My popular annual Christmas Minis took place on 12th November this year at Arncott Village Hall this year - and it was so much fun! It was a super busy day photographing beautiful families and smiling kiddos, to kick off the festive season. I welcomed so many beautiful families to capture their Christmas magic.
This year I have created two brand new set ups to be enjoyed. The first one was a magical Christmas Wreath, which I handmade using a large hoop frame and festive faux foliage. My aim was to create a timeless, magical set up that will not date, but still has that Christmassy feel. I wanted to keep it fairly simple, having the wreath, sled and some lanterns as the main props for this set up, letting the families and kid's be the focus of the photos.
The second set up this year was so much fun and from the feedback the kids absolutely loved it! It consisted of gifts, with one giant gift box that kids could hide in and jump out of.
I made this box out of wood and to make it safe and soft for kids, I wrapped it in a white sheet. I knew that I wanted kids to be able to sit or stand on top of the box too, so I created a wooden lid with a large red bow to complete the box. To tie it all together and add some more Christmas feeling, I added some large baubles.
The smiles captured in this scene were so real and adorable, it truly let each kid's personality shine!
Christmas Minis 2023 season is over, which makes me a little sad. It was so much fun and I am so grateful to have been lucky enough to capture so many beautiful families. I am especially grateful for the beautiful families who come back to me year after year capture their Christmas magic.
