Capturing the Essence of Sarah Plater Photography Through My Lens - Branding photography Oxfordshire

As a photographer, every moment caught on camera tells a story. These moments can evoke emotions and represent a brand in a unique way. Recently, I had the chance to photograph lifestyle branding shots for my dear friend Sarah Plater, a fellow professional photographer based in Oxfordshire.

Before diving into the photoshoot, we held a brainstorming session. Sarah expressed her desire to showcase her passion for photography as well as capture her personality. She is a lovely, energetic, hard working person while also radiating with an upbeat, fun beam of sunshine.

We agreed to meet up at her cozy studio in Bicester to capture some branding photographs for her, documenting her at work with a relaxed, authentic branding shoot.

At the core of each branding shoot is an understanding of the client and their business. Luckily for me, Sarah is my long time friend and therefore I know her and her business inside out, so capturing the essence of her and her work was not the most difficult task. Sharing the space and working with a fellow creative and a lovely friend also took all the pressure off and made for one fun photoshoot.

I ensured to capture mix of headshots and action shots, capturing content for her social media and website to reflect what she does and to radiate her personality through the images. See for yourself:

Reflecting on the Journey

As I reflect on this photoshoot, I'm reminded of the importance of connections among creatives. I am so fortunate to be able to have such talented friend with whom I can share the joys and hardships of running a photography business. Especially nowadays it is so important to believe in community over competition and I'm so glad to be able to have such wonderfully talented fellow photographer to call my friend.
