As a photographer, there is nothing more rewarding having clients return to me to capture their journey, their stories. I was lucky to be chosen by the lovely and beautiful Brie and her family to capture their new life chapter - her pregnancy portraits and once her beautiful little baby was born, her newborn portraits.
The beautiful beginnings
Maternity portraits are so important - capturing the beautiful beginnings, the anticipation, celebrating ones pregnancy and how amazing women's bodies are.
Brie looked absolutely amazing for her maternity portraits. In every single outfit she put on, she was simply radiant and you could tell how very excited she is to meet her little baby girl.
When she stepped out in her green dress, my jaw dropped - the green complimented her so much and brought the colour in her amazing tattoos perfectly, she looked like she stepped out from a fantasy film.
Her partner joined us for some couples photos as well and it was amazing to capture their love, bond and the excitement to meet their little baby girl.
Brie mentioned that she often thinks of her little one as a little lioness, which stuck with me and from that moment I knew that I simply have to use my adorable lion bonnet when baby girl arrives.
Meeting baby Hero
When baby Hero arrived, we scheduled a newborn session for when she was 7 days old. She came out with perfect squishy cheeks, sweet button nose and head full of hair. In the short 7 days Earthside, you can tell she has already wrapped everyone around her teeny tiny little fingers. When it came to her newborn session, she was an absolute star - she slept soundly for most of the session, absolutely loved being swaddled.
Hero's mummy has chosen a natural colour palette which complimented Hero perfectly. When I pulled out the little lions hat, Hero's mummy absolutely loved it - and so did I. To make the set up a little more feminine, I paired it with my favourite neutral floral wrap which baby Hero loved - just look how adorable this little brave lioness looks:

Capturing all the important milestones
Entering parenthood is such a big step - starting a family is exciting and such a memorable time in your life it is worth remembering and celebrating.
