I was so lucky to be able to photograph this very handsome little birthday boy for his 1st birthday cake smash and splash photoshoot! Rodin's mum requested simple and natural photographs with my teepee and star garland and I was in heaven - creamy dreamy tones are my absolutely favourite and the gorgeous brown tones of Rodin's outfit and his stunning hair really brought all the tones of the portraits together.

Digging into the cake - he wasn't a huge fan of the cake, in fact he barely tried it, but luckily we managed to take a few portraits of him smashing the cake and making a bit of a mess before Rodin decided he's had enough of the cake and it would be much more fun to explore around :)
I always ensure to photograph the baby without cake first. This gives the parents opportunity to have lovely "formal" birthday portraits and not just the smash.
Smiles all around. Rodin shared some amazingly heartwarming smiles with me and I am so glad he allowed me to capture his amazing bubbly personality for his mummy and daddy to treasure in timeless photographs.
Rodin's favourite part of the photoshoot was definitely the bubble bath after his cake smash. He loved splashing in the tub and exploring the water.
Those little details are so important - I love capturing little toes and other features for parents to remember forever.
