I have run a poll on my instagram recently and to my great surprise, many of my followers voted that they in fact prefer lifestyle natural photos over traditional posed newborn portraits - I must say I did not honestly expect that, but I am all here for it! I absolutely LOVE lifestyle newborn shoots. They focus more on capturing the new family's dynamic, the emotions of welcoming a new baby in your home, documenting the raw reality of parenthood, all the magical first days with a newborn in your own environment. And best thing about them is they are not exclusive to the first few weeks - we can do lifestyle sessions at any time - even with older babies, toddlers, even kids!
I would love to start transitioning more towards lifestyle photoshoot. That doesn't necessarily mean I will stop doing posed newborn sessions all together, but I would love to start focusing more on lifestyle and candid newborn photography as it gives me such a joy to truly document the pure reality of parenthood. To freeze in time this precious life chapter for new families.
